Side Fixed Glass or Pinned Glass Balustrades for Frameless & Semi Frameless Fencing

Introduction

Pin-fixed or stand-off frameless balustrade is mounted to the side of a deck, balustrade or stair-landing for a sophisticated glass and stainless steel finish. Aesthetically, pin-fixed is stunning and provides the ultimate glass-only balustrade system.

Installation can be tricky and due care is required to mark-out and to get the panels into position. It is recommended that you consult a qualified builder or speak to our team before construction.

We use 12mm A grade toughened glass panels and marine grade stainless steel pins to produce a near seamless finish.

Each method of balustrade fixing delivers its own unique advantages. Side mounted balustrades are mounted to the side of the glass using 316 Marine grade stainless steel pins to. Glass balustrades are ideal for that extra bit of style and functionality without compromising on safety and security.

Technical

Dulux interpon® D610 excel powder coatings have been designed to meet or exceed the following standards:

AS3715 – 2002 Australian standard metal finishing – thermoset coatings for architectural applications for aluminium and aluminium alloys.

AS4506 – 2005 Australian standard metal finishing – thermoset powder coatings

AIMF Qualicoat (class 1.5) specification for a quality label for paint lacquer and powder coatings on aluminum for architectural applications. This product has a film integrity warranty for 10 years and a colour integrity warranty for 7 years.

Balustrades made from structural aluminium are then anodised with 20-25 micron of clear anodise, meaning maintenance free with no corrosion.

The balustrade mountings are resistant to salt corrosion and are therefore ideal for salt-water swimming pools, beach areas and coastal homes.

Care and maintenance

Just as you maintain the appearance of your car, powder coated and glass surfaces, including glass pool fencing in Sydney, need routine cleaning to remove dirt and grime. This ensures that you maintain the decorative and protective properties of the coating. Just a gentle clean wash with a soft brush and mild detergent followed by a fresh water rinse will maintain the long term performance of your powder coated products.

Warning: strong abrasive house hold cleaners and solvents including those recommend for thinning paints such as MEK or paint thinners are harmful to powder coating these must not be used. Acidic and alcohol based cleaning products should also not be used.
