Top Mounted Balustrade Handrail

Introduction

Glass balustrade systems enable you to have a safe and secure balustrade with the brilliance of a nearly uninterrupted view. Spigot mount, face fixed, channel set or semi frameless fixing posts – a system for your application can be supplied.

The top mounted balustrade can work with both Frameless & Semi Frameless Glass fencing options. Each method of balustrade fixing delivers its own unique advantages. Top mounted balustrades are mounted on top of the glass & features a Square or Round option using 316 Marine Grade stainless steel or Powder Coated or Anodised treated aluminium with a variety of finishes available. Top mounted balustrades can be made flush with the glass or with a gap between the glass & balustrade depending on the look that you’re after.
Balustrades are great for that extra bit of added safety & style to your fencing.

Technical

Dulux interpon® D610 excel powder coatings have been designed to meet or exceed the following expectations:

AS3715 – 2002 Australian standard metal finishing – thermoset coatings for architectural applications for aluminum and aluminum alloys.

AS4506 – 2005 Australian standard metal finishing – thermoset powder coatings

AIMF Qualicoat (class 1.5) specification for a quality label for paint lacquer and powder coatings on aluminum for architectural applications. This product has a film integrity warranty for 10 years and a colour integrity warranty for 7 years.

Balustrades made from structural aluminium are then is anodised with 20-25 micron of clear anodise, meaning maintenance free with no corrosion.

The Baulstrade is salt safe for swimming pools and beaches and coastal homes

Care and maintenance

You maintain the appearance of your car with washing similarly, powder coated services need routine cleaning to remove dirt and grime. This ensures that you maintain the decorative and protective properties of the coating. Just a gentle clean wash with a soft brush and mild detergent followed by a fresh water rinse will maintain the long term performance of your powder coated products. Just like any other constantly moving item around the home, it is recommended that the hinges are oiled and cleaned from time to time. Cleaning Stainless Steel is an easy task.

Warning: strong abrasive house hold cleaners and solvents including those recommend for thinning paints such as MEK or paint thinners are harmful to powder coating these must not be used. Acidic and alcohol based cleaning products should not be used either.
